Our TSG WE group recently welcomed M.J. Clark, M.A., APR, Fellow PRSA, for a talk on “The Art of Assertive Communication” which explored the communication skills vital to success as employees and leaders/managers. In this interactive presentation, M.J. Clark revealed the secrets from her book, Shut Up and Manage: A Quiet Leader’s Guide to Engaging Others to help interact more assertively and authentically at work and in their personal life.
Our TSG WE (Women Empowered) group is designed to empower our female colleagues through fellowship, training and education.
Congratulations to our team members in Atlanta who are finishing up work at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia. The expansion and renovation project almost doubles the size of the complex, which includes 90,000 square feet of convention space spread across four exhibit halls, 23 meeting rooms, as well as a junior ballroom and a space for receptions.

Please help us welcome Ryan Peterson, Inventory Manager for our Advanced Logistics Facility. With over 25 years of Inventory, Manufacturing, and Advanced Warehousing Management experience, specializing in Organizational know-how and Problem-Solving, Ryan will play a key role in implementing new systems which will drive us to a leadership position in TSG’s inventory management arena.
With the growth and expansion of data centers and other critical power projects, the medium voltage skillset is in high demand.
The Superior Group’s Medium Voltage Training equips our team members to handle today’s onsite power infrastructure needs. We are ensuring our people are the most qualified and prepared to handle our client’s complex needs.
The Superior Group recently hosted SD Myers for a Visual Inspection & Sampling of Fluid-Filled Transformers training at our HUB location. The purpose of this training was to provide the knowledge needed to pull a proper sample to assure accurate test results from a sample of dielectric fluids. Congratulations to the group that successfully completed this training!
TSG Jobsite Ready Bootcamp
At The Superior Group, it is critical that our field team members have the skills to feel safe and comfortable on the job site. As part of the Learning and Talent Development team, we have developed the Jobsite Ready Bootcamp. This 4-day training aims to arm field personnel with basic knowledge of safety protocols, material recognition, general electrical systems, and resources for support. It’s hard to hide my passion and excitement about introducing and supporting others as they explore career opportunities in electrical.

Project Update
Our work continues on The James Outpatient Care facility located in Carmenton, a new innovation district on west campus of The Ohio State University that will open next summer. This is one of several major projects we’re currently working on for the OSU Wexner Medical Center. This facility will bring state-of-the-art proton therapy treatment and care to countless pediatric and adult cancer patients in Central Ohio.
We are also continuing work on the Interdisciplinary Research Facility, one of the first buildings at Carmenton which will house approximately 305,000 new square feet, and serve multiple research disciplines including biomedical, life sciences, engineering and environmental sciences, among others.

The Superior Group’s Chairman, Greg Stewart, recently received the COHNECA NECA Award for Outstanding Achievement. The award was established in 2012 to recognize outstanding and dedicated service to the electrical contracting industry. It is presented, only when deserved, to a Chapter Representative who has earned great respect among his/her peers and has performed for the Chapter extraordinary service above and beyond the call of duty.
For decades Greg has served in top leadership roles locally and nationally in the industry and has been inducted into the Academy of Electrical Contracting. Jordan joined The Superior Group at the age of 27 after holding a few other jobs and realizing his desire for a career that was more secure, long-term, and allowed him to be home more with family. What he loves most is the flexibility and diversity he is part of on every project – identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through the design, onsite, and manufacturing. He has fostered his desire to learn through the endless training opportunities and programs offered by The Superior Group, but also teaches those who are entering the field at the local IBEW. His advice to anyone considering a career in the trades: “Get in as soon as you can! Congratulations to two of our very own field leaders, Chad Holmes and Jeremy Kight, for being included in The BXFlex Class of 2023! The BX Field Leadership Excellence Series (BXFlex) is a five-month, eight-session program designed to develop field managers into industry leaders. More than 230 industry field leaders are graduates of the program!
Some of the program topics featured from nationally recognized subject and local industry experts include, coaching and motivation, business writing, conflict resolution, diversity & inclusion, presentation skills, and the role of the field in risk management.
