Roles and responsibilities
As an electrician with The Superior Group, you will be responsible for working individually and as part of a team to provide services using your knowledge, skill, and professionalism while following safety measures.
Electricians are responsible for:
- Performing electrical install projects for industrial and commercial properties.
- Installing electrical components as part of a distribution or facility operations system, plus rough—in, finishes, and trim.
- Submitting requests for tools and supplies so they are always available on the work site.
- Ensuring all electrical work is completed correctly.
- Interpreting construction drawings.
- Providing input and multi-trade coordination to support a project’s overall success.
- Performing activities and tasks with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ensuring electrical work is compliant with codes.
- Troubleshooting problems that arise on the job.
- Prioritizing continued education and professional development.
- Possessing practical knowledge of electrical circuitry. We will provide training for those who are new to the electrical industry or working entry-level roles.
Work qualifications
In order to secure an interview for our electrician employment opportunities, you must have specific qualifications. These qualifications help ensure you’re the right fit for the team and will succeed at The Superior Group.
We are looking for electricians who have a strong work ethic and are able to follow directions and properly perform electrical services. Good communication skills are crucial when working in a team environment, and you must also have a willingness to learn. You will be expected to have proficient knowledge of construction safety requirements, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and local codes, although training is also provided. Applicants for our electrician jobs must have either a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
