On Sunday, March 22, 2020, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, and Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D. MPH issued The Ohio Department of Health Director’s Stay at Home Order, which mandates that certain businesses cease activities within the State.
Section 9 of the Department of Health’s Order specifically characterizes construction as “essential infrastructure,” and exempts construction from the closure order. Sections 12 (k) and (q) also specify that building and construction trades, along with suppliers, are “Essential Businesses and Operation.”
An Ohio Department of Health flyer specifically identifying construction trades as essential can be found here.
In compliance with the order, The Superior Group will continue operations on all projects unless directed otherwise by a client. We are currently engaged in conversations with multiple clients, most of whom are proceeding forward in compliance with the Order.
