Governor DeWine announced the Responsible RestartOhio plan, including a timeline to restart Ohio’s economy. This is exciting news and means that our healthcare providers, first responders, citizens in our communities, and essential businesses like The Superior Group have done a great job in this challenging time of protecting each other to minimize the spread of the coronavirus. We will continue to do our part.
The highlights of the plan are as follows:
May 1: All healthcare procedures may resume as long as the procedure does not require an overnight hospital stay. Dentists and veterinarians may see patients again as well.
May 4: Manufacturing, distribution, and those construction operations that were not previously deemed essential may reopen. As you know, The Superior Group’s activities have been deemed essential from the beginning. Protective guidelines will be required for all businesses in Ohio under the plan, which The Superior Group has already implemented. The Superior Group will implement any new guidelines and continue to maintain the high industry standard that our teams have worked so hard to achieve over the last several weeks.
Also on May 4: General office environments can reopen. We are presently working on a plan to appropriately staff our facilities at Waterman Avenue, Goodale Road, and Dividend Drive. Department leaders will be in touch with their team members this week to determine appropriate staffing as we move forward
May 12: Consumer, retail, and most services can reopen if they can meet certain distancing and other requirements.
Dine-in restaurants, gyms, daycares, and barbershops will remain closed at this time until further data is available. We understand that these measures are necessary and designed to bring an end to the pandemic as soon as possible.
We will continue to lead the way in safety and good practices to keep our places and people healthy as the state of Ohio and our other operational regions restart.
